New Sunshine Yoga Teacher: Mia Jacob

Sunshine Yoga is very pleased to welcome Mia Jacob, amazing German Jivamukti Yoga Teacher directly from Paris.

Mia’s Yoga journey started about 10 years ago. A former dancer, she first was interested in the physical side of yoga but discovered the transformative magic of yoga: the unity of body and mind, the feeling of balance and centeredness, the feeling of connection with yourself, the universe and life.

Today her passion is to share this in a loving way by her teachings.

She is very grateful to Sharon Gannon and her teachers at Jivamukti Berlin and New York who will always be an incredible inspiration and to all her teachers at Trimurti Yoga in India where she received her 200 RYT Yoga Alliance Teacher Certificate.

In New York she also studied with Sri Dharma Mittra at the Dharma Yoga Center. She attended as well classes with Stefanie Snyder, Tiffany Cruishank and Kathryn Budig when travelling through the US.

While traveling through India she spent time at the Osho Centre in Pune and went to a Vipassana retreat. Yoga brought Mia to meditation which is a big part of her life today and she likes sharing this with her students.

During her worldwide travels she had the chance to teach in various settings (India, Thailand, Rumania, Spain, France, South America…) and to a vast array of different people which makes her capable to tune into her students needs and adapt her Vinyasa flow classes, these can be stronger, more firey classes, or more restorative.

Her background as an actress makes her very sensitive to the connection of body and mind: the connection of breath, movement and emotions and how movement and breathing can alter your emotional state and therefore your life. She gives special yoga classes for actors.

Mia is also a qualified Thai Massage therapist (TMC Chiang Mai) and enriches her yoga practice with her massage knowledge.

She gives customized group or private Vinyasa flow yoga classes (in English, French or German) in the comfort of your own home, at your retreat or outdoors.
